Project Associate & Community Development Specialist
Dr. Sabine Simmons has been teaching and developing curricula and courses in various Health Information Management (HIM) and healthcare-related programs for the last decade. Sabine also served as a PPE clinical coordinator and as program director.
Before teaching, Sabine worked in long-term care and briefly in the acute care setting. In these roles, she was responsible for chart completion, billing accuracy, and qualitative and quantitative audits. She has worked in community development and capacity building for the last few years in various capacities and on various projects. She enjoys teaching in online and traditional environments. In her spare time, Sabine enjoys riding horses and attending gymnastics competitions with her son.
Sabine has earned a bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management (HIM), a master’s degree in Management, and an Education Doctorate in Organizational Leadership. She also has three industry certifications from AHIMA the RHIA, CHPS, and the CCA.
